Turkish Canadian Friendship Society of Vancouver Island (TCFSoVI)
Turkish Canadian Friendship Society of Vancouver Island (TCFSoVI) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on December 2, 2007. Members of the TCFSoVI elected a new Executive as follows:
- President - Engin Turan
- Vice-President – Gursel Toparlak
- Treasurer – Anil Apa
- Secretary – Cenk Matalon
- Membership Director – Bridget Minishka
- Social Activities Director – Cynthia Lane
- Cultural Director – Aysegul Fidan
- Member at Large – Tayfun Ince
- Member at Large – Salih Cinar
- Member at Large – Tolga Habali
At the AGM, TCFSoVI members also voted in favour of changing the Society’s name to the Turkish Canadian Friendship Society of Vancouver Island.
This name change registered as official with the Provincial Government and confirmed.
